Approach:

The NCR Program approach is loosely based on the Main Street Four-Point approach which is a comprehensive revitalization process that focuses on all aspects of a commercial business district. The NCR Program successfully integrates practical management strategy with the physical improvement of buildings and public spaces, aggressive promotion and image building, and the economic development of the area. The approach fosters a long-term management of change and growth. To ensure the program’s success AGA functions through its four committees:

Promotion – Marketing the commercial district’s assets to customers, shoppers, potential investors, new businesses, local citizens and visitors in an effort to build a unified image, generate activity, and communicate progress and excitement.

Design – Enhancing the physical appearance of the commercial district by rehabilitating buildings, encouraging supportive new construction, developing sensitive management systems, and long-term planning

Business Development- Strengthening the district’s existing economic base while finding ways to expand it to meet new opportunities and challenges from outlying development.

Residents Information – Building consensus and cooperation among the many residents and organizations that have a role in the revitalization process.

Our four committees meet monthly to work toward fulfillment of the NCR Program approach.
