Business - Open for Growth, Open for Business
C.A.R.E.S. Workforce Development Program
The Career Advancement Resources and Educational Services (C.A.R.E.S.) Workforce Development Program is a free, 6 week, 40 hours per week education process by which qualified candidates become empowered to acquire and retain employment. The main purpose is to educate and train an individual and equip him or her with the business and professional skills necessary to enter the San Antonio workplace. Empowering individuals through education and job skills strengthens families and promotes their self-sufficiency. Economic self-sufficiency raises self-esteem and confidence in one's self, creating stronger families and stronger San Antonio neighborhoods and communities.
C.A.R.E.S. classes are held at the Margarita R. Huantes Community Family Resource and Learning Center located at 1411 Guadalupe Street in partnership with the City of San Antonio’s Department of Community Initiatives.
